Raasay - day 3 - Temptation Hill


work day - internet access in the shop can only be used after the Post Office closes at one - "Raasay is like Skye used to be" - a dog takes us for a walk, leading us all the way home - collapsed pines form an eerie forest - a slow connection afternoon

wake up, the weather is so bad we wonder if we'll make it to Raasay - ferry on amber alert - three cars line up - we board as the sun breaks through - 25 min walk beneath our packs to Inverarish - large, chilly house; mysterious cellar - trees, lots of trees

Skye - day 14 - Sleat

"you can't come on a bus with a £20 note" - Armadale - coffees at The Shed cafe - Grumpy George - the amazing Bay Pottery - paintings of Skye made to look like Greece - Ardvasar - walk the big dipper road to Aird - out of energy, with the rain hardening we turn back - the unexpected delight of the nature trail - Martina Navratilova drives us home
